I think it was ”The Dirty Three” that said it best, in an evocative, purely instrumental composition on their Self titled album in 1995. Everything’s fucked. I would say that the whole album deserves your attention especially on a rainy Sunday. There are no lyrics, but the album will transport you elsewhere. https://open.spotify.com/track/7rF6uXn2SzNMdA62LQJs3Q?si=QIqVhWF5Qua0WKn-UinoTA Curl up with a book, bonus points if that book happens to be “Everything is fucked” by Mark Manson. It’s the follow up book to “The subtle art of not giving a fuck.” Again, a wholehearted recommendation, especially for those that do, perhaps a little too much. Fuck it, there is even a movie version for those that can’t or don’t like reading. (Or would rather not listen to Australian post rock as a soundtrack.) https://youtu.be/9EmLbOJZULU Whilst these titles may be a little off putting, the content is a great leveller and somewhat entertaining. It may be my bias but I found a lot of relatable material and a sense of relief that someone else had similar thoughts.
